Fact: we can’t stop thinking about the chocolate fudge cake and blueberry muffins from Tom’s Deli. Possibly even more crave-worthy than the treats fuelling The Daily team through LFW, however, are the new pieces from Warehouse Design Competition winner Daisy Craver.

The retailer and the BFC’s Colleges Council chose Craver’s entry from a shortlist of 12 finalists. Craver, 23-years-old and fresh from the University of Westminster, then joined the Warehouse design team for a six-month placement during which she ushered her winning designs through the production and marketing stages.

The result—a 16-piece collection of tough-yet-diaphanous ‘Warrior Goddess’-inspired pieces—hit stores on Thursday, just in time for LFW. It’s a riot of marble-printed chiffon, studded leather and foil-printed suede, playing with, “the dramatic juxtaposition of hard and soft textures and the contrast between the fluid and the static,” as Craver describes. It is this accomplished blend of shapes and textures that led the judges to bring Craver’s designs to the shop floor, according to Warehouse Designer Director Lisa Byrne.

“The collection has a very pulled together look—working equally well as standalone pieces or complete outfits,” she said.

Daisy Craver’s collection is available in selected Warehouse stores and online, from £40.
