Gap and valentino collaboration, photography by gregory harris
Report by yasmin coke
What do you get when you cross an American Sportswear brand with an Italian couture house? Luxe fashion basics. Precisely what we want to wear right now. So how very on-the-money of Gap to mark the opening of its first Italian store by collaborating with the super-feminine fashion house of Valentino. Cue khaki-hued utilitarian parkers with multi-frilled flourish details (a Valentino signature) and combat trousers with paper bag waists and frills around the patch pockets. The eagerly anticipated seven-piece collection goes on sale from 9.30am on 27th November and will go like hot cakes. So you better be quick.
Prices start at £49.95. Available from the Oxford Street flagship store and Dover Street Market.
