At the unveiling of Nine West’s A/W11 collection this week, The Daily was thrilled to discover a shrine dedicated to the much-anticipated collaboration with one of London’s favourite designers, Giles.

His five-piece collection consists of shoes and bags. Buckle ankle boots, chunky peep-toe wedges and pointed pumps make up the shoes, while Giles’ famous mouse-like creation Eek, makes an appearance on the roomy bags (which even contain a padded pouch for your laptop).

So who better to discuss the collection with than the designer himself. We chatted with an enthusiastic Giles about his collection highlights and the inspiration behind the collaboration:

“My favourite shoe is the painted, pointed, pony ballerina pump with neon-orange detail. They are good fun, you can go from work to play and they have a hard edge about them.”

And the inspiration behind the collection?

“Tight, hard-edged, graffiti, zebra print – It’s cool and something that the Nine West girl can get her head around. I really wanted it to work for her.”

You’ll have to wait until September, though, when the collection becomes available in-store, online and at Harrods and Selfridges.

Prices start from £105 for Ballet pumps and £120 for a bag.
