Paul Costelloe S/S 12
“I found a lot of inspiration for my S/S 12 collection in the movie Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Starring Bette Davis. The collection is innocent yet dangerous, with a neutral colour palette emphasising the 1970s Paris-inspired silhouettes.”

Bora Aksu S/S 12
“ Inspiration for my S/S 12 collection comes from five handwritten postcards from 1905, found in a Geneva antique market. The cards are all written by a young woman and are addressed to someone called Charles. I am very drawn to them despite the postcards holding such little information and they were the starting point of a big research trip.
I am also very drawn to handmade silk roses from 60’s Couture dresses. The wedding scene of Emily Watson in the 1996 movie Breaking the Waves was another inspiration.”
Bora Aksu, 1pm, BFC show space

Maria Grachvogel S/S 12
“I was feeling relaxed decadence this season. My collection feels extremely louche with a lot of cutting away from the body. The volume in the draping feels extreme but very modern and easy to wear. The colours are mouth-watering with raspberry reds and citrus limes and the collection is full to the brim with beautiful signature Artwork prints. The jewellery and shoes are tough and add a fiercer edge.”
Maria Grachvogel, 2pm, WC2
Sass & Bide S/S 12
“For S/S 12 we’ve been inspired by Japanese influences, collegiate colour palettes and contrasting textures.”
Sass & Bide, 4pm, WC2
Ann-Sofie Back Atelje S/S 12
“Inspiration for the collection comes from God, spaghetti and delusions.”
Ann-Sofie Back Atelje, 7pm, BFC show space
Christopher Raeburn S/S 12
“The Man of Aran by Robert J. Flaherty has been inspiring this season, it’s a really beautiful black and white depiction of the hard life of islanders on Aran, off the Western coast of Ireland. Other influences have come from Charlie Hailey’s book on camps and our extensive research on functional fabrics.”
PPQ’s collaboration with Bebaroque
“S/S 12 is about the origins of PPQ as we are celebrating 10 years of catwalk shows! This season we’ve got some great collaboration’s too; Lee jeans and Bebaroque!”
