“DAKS was a 50′s look inspired by old film stars such as Julie Garland and Rita Hayworth. I tried to recreate that shine that appears in black and white pictures, in a modern way. The hair was twisted into a knot at the back but the whole look was very glossy with a contemporary twist. Very sleek, very shimmery with a 50′s side parting and quiff.”
