Day 1 – woo hoo, early start but for good cause, first day of LFW! Sponsors breakfast, Paul Costelloe show followed by Mayor of London Boris Johnson and BFC chairman Harold Tillman CBE opening. Boris doesn’t disappoint, great rhetoric and great support – announces one year funding package and landmark 2012 project that will champion British creativity through collaborations between leading Brit designers and visual artists – we’ve been working on this for over a year so huge thanks to working party, Lucy Yeomans and Arts Council for their support. Thanks also to athletes and ambassadors who supported the launch – all looked great (pic to follow)
Full day of shows, meetings, BFC/ELLE Talent lauchpad reception 30mins Twitter q and a – look out for these every day this week.
Headonism drinks supported by Ascot who brought some very glamorous guests to see some of our most innovative young milliners.
Day ended with PPQ show – what a fab, fun collection… and first encounter with Pandemonium… a sculptor I’m told – must google later!
