What happens when you combine dynamic architecture and first class hair styling? The result is a unique collaboration between multi-award winning architect Zaha Hadid and new PZ Cussons acquisition Fudge Hair, who presented their first pop-up salon during London Fashion Week.  With its slick interior and ultra cool feel, the pop-up Fudge salon was a place to relax, unwind, as well as get top notch professional hair advice and styling away from the crowds and shows.

Known for her innovation and sympathetic designs, Hadid has long since been regarded as one of the most exciting and talented London based architects. Understanding that art, fashion and architecture are inherently intertwined, this project has brought to fruition the many passions she holds and one can only hope there is more of this to come in the future!

Equally, Creative Director at Fudge, John Vial, also recognises the importance of nurturing relationships with forward thinking companies like Zaha Hadid Architects, saying “The future of Fudge is about developing relationships with like-minded challenging brands, pushing forward our individuality, and really standing out from the others”. And if the recent London Fashion Week pop-up salon is anything to go by, they are certainly doing that already.

Hadid hopes there will be more ‘cross pollination’ between disciplines, stating that “these practices can contribute to one another” and we couldn’t agree more. This type of brand innovation is becoming an exciting and relevant new playing field, with pop-up salons like this one being just the beginning. We can’t wait to see what both Zaha Hadid and Fudge have in store next.
